Dear Cardanesia Delegators,
We are pleased to announce that Cardanesia has successfully participated in the Stake Pool Operator (SPO) poll. Our vote was cast on the 18th of May, 2023, at 10:44:13 AM UTC.
We take our responsibility as a stake pool operator seriously and strive to make the best decisions for Cardano's ecosystem and our delegators. We've considered several factors in our decision-making process, including the impact on Cardano's decentralization and the competitiveness of small and new operators.
In our view, the parameter 'k' should not be modified unless we see some changes in the effectiveness of the pledge, which, as of now, isn't the case. If we alter 'k' without due consideration, we risk encouraging multipool operators to further divide their pools, which could potentially harm Cardano's decentralization.
In contrast, cutting the minimum cost (minCost) in half seems like a beneficial move for small and new operators. This change could improve their competitiveness by increasing their pool's return on assets (ROA) or return on investment (ROI). As a result, the reduced minCost would no longer consume a significant portion of their delegator's rewards.
I hope this sheds some light on our stance.
Your trust and support empower us in making Cardano more decentralized and robust. As always, thank you for your continued support of Cardanesia.
Regards,
Cardanesia (ADI)
